Homeless & Hungry has been lucky enough to provide kickoff events for the movement since 2008. The attempt has been to engage the larger Christian community, through music, with the H&H happenings.

In 2008, Kutless joined us for a special concert the day before the actual event. Featured that night were First Lutheran Church‘s Saving Reign, speaker Mike Yankoski, & Kutless. The event took place at Fargo’s First Assembly of God Church.

2009′s kickoff event moved across the river to Moorhead, MN and onto the campus of Concordia College. Featured bands were Leeland, Brandon Heath, & Francesca Battistelli.

The kickoff event of 2010 proved to be the largest in our history. We again returned to First Assembly in Fargo to host Bethel Church‘s band Destiny and Billboard Magazine’s Christian Artists of the Decade – MercyMe. As a part of the actual H&H event, national speaker Chris Lahr was invited to take part in the happenings as our keynote speaker.

in 2011, H&H is taking a break from the kickoff event to focus on building the actual H&H event and exercising ways to spread the movement in non-conventional ways.
